December 1 Tierra Adentro of New Mexico Charter School students present a live music/dance performance. Celebrate the passion, rhythm and tradition of flamenco. Witness our student performers’ artistic journey as they navigate through the awareness, preservation and progression of our rich cultural legacy. Our school functions to ensure quality education in the arts and academics for our youth while facilitating a deep understanding, practical application of New Mexico’s cultural roots and traditions.

Senior Archaeologist/Principal Investigator, Chronicle Heritage; Research interests: community formation and Interactions in the borderlands of the U.S. southwest and Mexican northwest region, AD 1200-1450 between Casas Grandes and central/southern Arizona; Experience in Western/Midwest U.S./Northwest Mexico and fieldwork conducted in upper Midwest/southern Plains; Ceramic analysis data recovery, and participation in Tribal projects in Native American Grave Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA) processes.

Archaeologist, Paleo-ethnobotany specialist, traditional foodways expert, Archaeology Southwest; former Postdoctoral Scholar in Anthropology, School of Human Evolution and Social Change, Arizona State University. Research Associate, Crow Canyon Archaeological Center; Chapter Author, ‘Secret Ingredients: Using Collections to Address Foodways and their Social Dynamics’, in Proceedings of the 2018 Southwest Symposium (S. Nash, E. Baxter, eds); Interests: daily food practices in Cibola (Zuni) region of west-central New Mexico & east-central Arizona in 13th & 14th centuries.
